Battlement of Yazd
The towers of Yazd are related to the Deylamian era – Atabakan(656-448 AH) and are located in emam Khomeini street, Malmir, Gole sorkh street and Labkhand.
The tower of Yazd was built in 432 AH, under the auspices of four colonels from the members of the regime of Amir al-Ad’d al-Din’Ala ‘al-Dawlah Abu Ja’far Kakoyee called Abu Ya’qub, Abu Musa’ud, Abu Ja’far and Abu Yusuf, which is now connected with the houses of the people.
Today, from the fence of Yazd and the towers that were loose and attached to it, in the grand decree of the Ja’fari era, there were ninety towers, and each tower had twenty guarded parts, as follows:
1 Part of the walls and towers of the dashed lip.
2 Part of the towers and fence in front of the tomb of Seyed Rose.
3 Part of the walls and the tower of the Mehriz gate, at the beginning of the markets of Khan, Afshar and Sadri.
4 The walls and towers of the king’s gate.
5 The walls and the towers of the shrine.
6 Part of the fence wall and the tower near the wheat garden.
7 The wall of towers around Fahadan and Malmer.
8 Wall and towers located on Governor’s Street.
