Qeshm Geopark

Qeshm Geopark is the first Geopark of the Middle East, which has become a member of the UNESCO World Geoparks Network since 2006.

Protecting this geopark and its geocytes is done by local communities and by monitoring and training the Qeshm geopark management through green tourism activities.

The plains, valleys, beaches, and mountains of the island are also unique in terms of vegetation, the presence of wildlife and the presence of rare geological phenomena.

Natural sculptures and scattered sculptures, wrinkles and amazing mountains, flat surfaces and columns at high altitudes, columns of erosion, prominence and depressions caused by weathering, conifers and fallen pieces at the foot of the highlands. hills and temples that the artist’s hands of nature The winds and rains made, the marvelous sculptures that come in various shapes like turtles, dogs, lizards, horses, or even human faces in anger and scream … and all of it is a great part of Qeshm enchanting nature, and count as the natural attractions of this island.

On the southern shores of the western part, there is no village, farm, and no human concentration or concentration. In the western part of the island, the presence of humans and livestock and farming activities have been remarkably small since ancient times and are not at the moment significant. There are phenomena in this part of the island such as Hara forests, salt domes, salt caves, mineral water springs, Chah-Kouh valley, excellent tangrams, and Qeshm roofs, valley of statues, dozens of rocky clusters with strange and spectacular shapes.
