Statement by the Foundation of Dialogue and Solidarity among Nations (FODASAN) in Condemnation of Israel’s Military Attack on Iran and Emphasis on Peaceful Solutions

The Foundation of Dialogue and Solidarity of United Nations condemns in the strongest possible terms the recent military attack by the Zionist regime on the territory of the Islamic Republic of Iran. This blatant aggression, which constitutes a gross violation of national sovereignty and the territorial integrity of an independent nation, poses a serious threat to regional and international peace and stability. The provisions of this statement are as follows:

Firm Condemnation of Attacks on Civilians: FODASUN condemns any targeting of civilians, ordinary citizens, residential areas, and urban centers as a crime against humanity and calls for immediate action by international institutions to address this clear violation of human rights.

Condemnation of Attacks on Energy Facilities and Urban Infrastructure: As part of Iran’s civil society, FODASUN condemns any sabotage or attacks on fuel reserves and storage facilities, energy installations and power plants, vital urban infrastructure, ministries, and government offices.

The Right to Legitimate Self-Defense: In accordance with Article 51 of the United Nations Charter, we affirm the legitimate and lawful right of the Islamic Republic of Iran to defend its territorial integrity and national security.

Emphasis on Peaceful Solutions: FODASUN, as always, upholds the humanitarian and rational principle that the only sustainable solution to international disputes lies in multilateral dialogue and diplomatic tools. We urgently call on the global community to establish mediation mechanisms.

The Foundation of Dialogue and Solidarity of United Nations calls upon all international institutions, non-governmental organizations, and global peace advocates to join us in this humanitarian endeavor.
