The third international conference on “The Future of Peace and Human Rights in West Asia” was held on Thursday, December 9

According to the Foundation of Dialogue and Solidarity of United Nations Public Relations, the 3rd Int. conference of FODASUN on “The Future of Peace and Human Rights in West Asia” was held in cyberspace on the occasion of World Human Rights Day at 9 am IRST.

This conference was attended by more than twenty speakers from about 13 countries addressing peace and human rights issues in West Asia. Among the speakers were prominent figures, including Ms. Claire Daily, Member of the European Parliament, Professor Alena Dohan, UN Special Rapporteur on unilateral coercive measures, Dr.Mohammad Hassan Sheykholeslami, Head of the Center for Political and International Studies, Dr. Kazem Gharibabadi, Deputy for International Affairs of the Judicial System of the I.R. of Iran and Secretary of the High Council for Human Rights, Dr. Mohammad Al-Obeidi, Director of the Human Rights Department of the Iraqi Ministry of Justice, Mr. Patrick Wintour, diplomatic editor for the Guardian were present.
The Third International Conference “The Future of Peace and Human Rights in West Asia” with the participation of about 20 prominent speakers from around the world in the two main areas of peace and human rights will be held on Thursday, December 9, 2021, on the website of FODASUN.
In the previous sessions of the conference, prominent figures such as Dr. Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Dr. Seyed Abbas Salehi, the then Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Professor Alena Dohan, UN Special Rapporteur on unilateral coercive measures, Dr. Saad Javad Qandil, the then Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Tehran, some members of the Iranian and Iraqi parliaments, as well as respected scholars and members of the media were present.
