Hafez tomb

The tomb of Hafez is located in the city of Shiraz and in the region of Hafezieh. Today, this place is considered one of the most important attractions of tourism, and many enthusiasts of Hafez poetry and thought from around the world to this place. The term pilgrimage, which is used most for holy places such as the Ka’ba and Imams’ shrines, is a good indication that Hafiz has a sacred image for Iranians. Some believers in religious and Islamic sects go to his tomb with religious practices. They go there with ablution and take their shoes off at the Hafiz shrine. Hafez’s other sympathizers also regard this place as a symbol of true love and a symbol of genuine mystical intelligence.
