The Foundation of Dialogue and Solidarity of United Nations is pleased to announce the upcoming workshop titled “UN Human Rights Mechanisms,” which will be held on November 12, 2024, alongside the 6th International Conference on the Future of Peace and Human Rights in West Asia. This workshop consists of an 8-hour interactive session led by Mr. Christophe Peschoux, former Chief of the Special Procedures Section at OHCHR, and Dr. Mohammad Sadati Nejad, former expert from the Permanent Mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Geneva. Additionally, the program includes attendance at the Foundation’s annual conference, scheduled for November 13, at the Faculty of Law and Political Science, University of Tehran.
The workshop aims to provide Iranian human rights experts and representatives of NGOs with a comprehensive understanding of the practical mechanisms of the UN Human Rights Council, fostering active participation from Iran’s civil society in international forums. Please note that the workshop will be conducted in English, with no Persian translation available. A certificate of participation will be issued to attendees upon completion of the program.
