Emam Hassan Askari mosque

This mosque is the oldest mosque in Qom. The mosque of Imam Hasan Asgari was created in the third century AH by Ahmed bin Ishaq Qomi, a lawyer and representative of Hasan Askari, the eleventh Shiite leader. The mosque was taught by Seyyed Mohammad Taghi Khansari, who was one of the participants in this lesson, such as Sayyid Rouhollah Khomeini and Mohammad Ali Araky. Since the mosque was built by Hassan Askari and with his money and by his vice, the mosque was important for the Marjas and the people of Qom. The mosque was recently renovated and its new building was opened in 1394. The new building was built on an area of 6,000 square meters and an area of 10,000 square meters.
