Takht-e-Jamshid

Persepolis or Parseh (Takht-E-Jamshid) is one of the ancient cities of Iran, which for many years has been the capital of the glorious kingdom of Iran during the Achaemenid Empire. In this ancient city there is a palace called Persepolis, which was built during the reign of Darius the Great, Xerxes and Artaxerxes I, and has been around for 200 years. Apart from the builders of Persepolis, Darius, Xerxes, and Ardeshir I, Ardeshir III also made repairs to Persepolis. Ardeshir II and III tombs are planted in the eastern foothills of Persepolis.
