Experts from The Foundation of Dialogue and Solidarity of United Nations met with Ms .Wasfiya Shikho, Member of the Iraqi Parliament and Rapporteur of the Women’s Rights Committee in this parliament. In this meeting, which was held in the office of the Women’s Rights Committee in the Iraqi parliament, speeches were given about the cultural rapprochement between the Iranian and Iraqi peoples, and Nowruz was addressed as one of the most important commonalities between the two sides. At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed their hope that the situation of women’s rights would improve with the adoption of laws to protect women in the parliaments of the two countries.
