Kaboutar khane
Kaboutar khane (Dovecote),it is made up for birds, especially pigeons in the Middle East and Europe. The main use of these buildings is the collection of birds’ feces for use in agriculture, tannery, leather making and gunpowder production. The history of pigeon houses and whether or not they were designed to be used as a fertilizer for the purpose of exploiting the feces of birds, especially pigeons, is not clear, but the evidence of these structures in Iran dates back 1200 years.
