Qazvin bazaar
Qazvin’s bazaar with its interesting and old architecture is one of the most spectacular places in Qazvin. Market history in Qazvin reaches one thousand years, and over time, this market grows until the Safavid period. In this period, with the selection of Qazvin as the capital of Iran, and afterwards, with significant plans in the Qajar era near the market due to the presence of the city of Qazvin on the communication center of the capital to the west and north of Iran, it is given a tremendous value. But the current market collection is attributed to the Safavid era, and most of its existing buildings were built during the Qajar period.
According to the Islamic Republic News Agency:” The architecture of the Qazvin bazaar was formed during the Safavid era and the architecture of the markets of Isfahan, Shiraz, goes back to the same period. During the 9th century, it was a shift from the south to the north so that in the shift, the Jame mosque completely separated from the market texture, and now the connection between the market and the Jame mosque are not visible.
During the Safavid period, the market perimeter has expanded, and each market has belonged to a particular trade. The Qaiserie Qazvin market with brick arches and high altitudes are parts of the Qazvin bazaar that has four gates and remains intact.
